Interviewing actress Katherine Zammuto

1-. How was your childhood?

I grew up traveling a lot with my dad who was a TV producer and owned a production and marketing agency, so I worked on several TV commercials music videos, TV sets and basically grew up in front of the camera.

2. - From what age did you decide to be an actress and how did you know you had theskills to go on TV?

I am not sure I decided to be an actor I think it's just something in our blood they never really goes away no matter where life takes you if you love acting it always stays with you and I think it was always like that with me even when I was pursuing other things I always felt that my passion is in telling stories and being in front of the camera

3. - Did your parents support you in the decision you made to be an actress?

My parents honestly were never very supportive of any kind of career in the Arts because they thought it was a long shot in terms of making money but I believe in my heart if we pursue anything that we love doing and do it with passion the results will come with time.

4. - What was your first appearance on the screens?

my first appearance I was 4 years old and it was a TV commercial for a brand of ice cream

5. - What was the role you liked the most?

the row I love the most is my latest Row in an indie movie that will be coming out in the beginning of 25 called 40 Days. although it is a small row and I only have two scenes in this movie it was definitely the most special acting job of my life so far very difficult very emotional and I cannot wait to share this movie with everyone. it is about illegal immigration and the American dream and I think it is coming at a very appropriate time in our history.

6.- What do you think led you to fame?

I am never pursuing Fame that is not what drives me at all I am always pursuing telling stories being a good communicator doing something with passion. Fame in itself doesn't really mean anything to me if it comes with the territory it's part of the job but it's definitely not something I pursue.

7-. What types of characters you would like to interpret?

goodness I love to portray all kinds of characters villains I love to portray Comic characters I would love to do a romantic comedy so many to count I would love to do historic characters because I love historic movies anything that comes my way I will be very grateful for!!

8-. What actresses and actors do you feel comfortable working with?

what I can say is that so far I have always been really really lucky to be able to work with the most incredible people and amazing cruise and really really great to directors I had not had one bad experience so far on any set that I've ever been on.

9-. In what other genres of art would you like to participate? (Works of theater, music, among others)

I definitely love shooting movies and I also love very much recording my podcast Kat on the Loose which now after 4 years I can proudly say is on top of the USA charts and it has been such a labor of love.

10.- Do you have any anecdotes that have marked you in your life and as a person?

Goodness so many I guess I am very lucky that I've had a very rich and fulfilling life so far and I think the most interesting thing that I can say is that a lot of people say that in Hollywood as you age you work less and less and less but it is actually not true as we age we know more and more and more what we want and what we deserve and we feel more comfortable and confident in our skin and we actually end up getting better Parts better roles and better opportunities come our way and this is actually what has been happening to me in the past few years. so what I would say is the most ironic and funny thing in my life at least is that when I got divorced a few years ago and I thought everything was over and I had to start my life over from scratch the best was yet to come and the best chapters were I had of me!

11.- What has been your greatest achievement?

my greatest achievement for sure has been to start my life over after leaving a very abusive marriage of 15 years. I literally had to start over from scratch I had no income no employment no help no family and that's when I realized it was sink or swim and I might as well just go after all my dreams and do everything that I love and pursue all my passions and now I'm definitely picking the fruits of all my hard work and I really believe if we do something that we love the results will come

12.- What projects will you make next and which ones do you have in mind?

The next project is releasing my next movie called 40 Days by award-winning director Peter Tackla which is coming out in the beginning of 2025 and we are very excited about it and cannot wait to share it with everyone. I am also very excited to be starting the 5th season of my hit organic podcast Kat on the Loose which is on the top of the USA charts and audiences in over 58 countries so that's very exciting as well!

13.- Would you like to make a movie in Spain?

Yes absolutely any day any minute I'll be there!!!!

14.- you like spanish cinema?

Yes very much!!! We have a tendency of watching mostly American movies but Foreign Cinema is fantastic and Spanish movies are very rich for sure!!!!! I come from a very Multicultural background being half Brazilian and have French so needless to say I love movies from everywhere in the world! the more diverse the better!.
