1-. How was your childhood? My childhood was very entertaining. It coincided with the dissolution of the USSR and Ukraine gaining independence. The 90s were quite challenging for my parents, and they had to work a lot, so my brother and I were often left to fend for ourselves. Looking back on my childhood, it was fun and wonderful, but in hindsight, I can't imagine how we managed to survive. We used to jump on roofs, climb trees, play games, and, of course, we couldn't resist nibbling on some questionable roots. We did a lot of traveling throughout my childhood. 1-. How was your childhood? Hmm, I used to think my childhood was tough until I met people who had it even harder. Growing up in Ukraine in a neighborhood near the woods was actually a fun place. My mom encouraged me to always be myself and try new things. My dad, a hardworking man, wasn't around much because he had bills to pay. I had a Russian/Communist grandma with a leather belt ready for when I messed up, and a rebellious grandpa who taught me everything a boy needed to know to survive on the streets. We didn't have much, but I didn't need much. My biggest desire was for my oldest brother, who had Cerebral Palsy, to get better. My father worked various jobs and my mother worked two jobs. I had a friend who told me to give it a go. So, I tried an online zoom taster class where I had to submit a self-tape to the teacher for feedback. My friend gave me good feedback, but I was too embarrassed to send the tape off to the acting teacher.
